Árpád Geréd appointed as Lecturer on Cloud Computing
The University of Applied Sciences Burgenland has appointed Árpád Geréd has as a lecturer for their master programme "Cloud Computing Engineering".
This master programme aims to train tech-savvy managers and engineers with a 360° view, giving them the necessary technical, organizational and legal knowledge for working with and creating cloud computing and IoT (Internet of Things) environments. The programme's content is aimed at those who, in addition to cloud technology, are interested in business models and strategies.
In his courses, Árpád Geréd will focus on cybersecurity-related legislation including data protection, as well as licensing.

UNCITRAL-Session and AIJA-Seminar in New York
From April 16 - 20, 2018, the 55th session of the Working Group IV (electronic commerce) of the UNCITRAL, the United Nation Commission on International Trade Law, will take place at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York. Cloud Computing and Identity Management will be the main topics of discussion. Árpád Geréd will take part in this session as an official representative of the AIJA, the largest international association of lawyers and in-house-councels aged 45 and below.
On April 20, 2018, Árpád will moderate an international panel on data portability and privacy by design, which will take place at an AIJA-seminar on the forthcoming EU General Data Protection Regulation also in New York. The seminar will be embedded into and held jointly with the Annual Conference of the Section of International Law of the American Bar Association.
